LIFE AT BADHANI
There is an old African proverb “It takes a village to raise a child”, so you need to choose your village wisely.
As you turn a corner on the Dalhousie highway you suddenly get a glimpse of a spectacular castle like building sitting on a hill. At the end of the gracious building are two towers – the windows shine, the green creepers that cover parts of the wall makes it look like an old time castle especially when the sun is behind it.
Just murmuring the words “The Badhani School” brings a little warm feeling into the heart. The rising sun on the tidy front gardens lighting up the flagged stone stairs with the Badhani’ites gathering each morning for prayers, feeling warm and sheltered creates an ethereal picture.
The chirping of hundreds of children from the doorways and the corridors, running along the main school building filled with the sound of hurrying feet, laughter and chattering makes this a scared ground for generations to come.
The green grass sinking below the level of the court, encircled with stone seats rising upwards around it, an audience of children exploding with cheers and catcalling out to their favorite teams having good fun, all while learning is what -The Badhani School is all about.
“A good teacher is possessed with an innate ability to inspire…..A great teacher simply loves their student and their job.”
Hardly anything matters more than education. When you send your child to school what matters most is who teaches them when they get there. The benefits of having been in the class of a good teacher cascades down the years. Being in the classroom of a great teacher is a glacial process which directly affects a child’s personal evolution in their lifetime.
The Badhani School is recognized as among the best because our teachers never stop thinking about how to get better at teaching. Our classroom is designed to elicit continual improvement. Our students consistently beat country wide average scores, achieving impressive results.
“We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, therefore, is not an act but a habit” ― Aristotle
